      <image:caption>In 2007, Farr began her work with the Burundi Film Center, documenting the first first year of training, production and a travelling film festival throughout Burundi.       <image:caption>Bridget and nine other photographers participated in Naked in the Capital where each were given one roll of black and white film and 30 minutes to shoot a nude model with only one camera, one lens, and only natural light. Each photographer later framed their best print and the selected images were exhibited and judged and Farr’s image was awarded 1st prize.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Films - Biography - Bridget Farr is a 16mm analogue film artist. Her work drifts through landscapes of solitude, tracing the invisible threads between nature, transformation, and the feminine.</image:title>
      <image:caption>She holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies and an Honours Degree in the Photographic Arts. Her films have screened at film festivals around the world including the Ann Arbour Film Festival, Images Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival, European Media Arts Festival, and the BBC British Short Film Festival. Her dedication to experimental filmmaking was recognized in 2013 when the Canadian Film Institute honored her with a retrospective of her work. Her photographic work has also garnered international attention, touring globally and being exhibited alongside iconic photographers such as Annie Liebovitz. Her images have been featured in high-profile events, including Oprah’s Life Your Best Life tour. In 2007, Bridget helped launch the Burundi Film Centre, contributing to the establishment of this vital media training facility. In early 2020, Farr co-founded the Lightproof Film Collective, an innovative group of film-based artists collaborating on new works in the realm of analogue film. Inspired by a true story, the film follows Flo, a woman isolated in a remote cabin as she waits for her husband’s return from war. Nature’s elements – wind, water, and earth – help Flo accept that the life she had imagined has faded away. Flo was filmed in the very cabin where the real-life nurse sought refuge.
